Test tube
also known as a culture tube or sample tube, is a common piece of laboratory glassware consisting of a finger-like length of glass or clear plastic tubing, open at the top and closed at the bottom. Test tubes are usually placed in special-purpose racks.
Substitute: a wide glass jar can be used if a single test tube will stand upright with enough tube above the jar so that you can grab it easily with your holder, and still not spill. funnel for filtering and pouring liquids into the test tubes (the narrow end of the funnel must fit in your smallest test tube).

The larger 6 mL tube is used for blood bank procedures. This tube has no anticoagulant and is used for many chemistry tests, drug levels, and blood bank procedures. There are two general types - one with K2 EDTA and one with no anticoagulant. This tube is used primarily for trace metal analysis.
