Microbiologist
Microbiologist
is a scientist who studies microscopic life forms and processes. This includes study of the growth, interactions and characteristics of microscopic organisms such as bacteria, algae, fungi, and some types of parasites and their vectors.
Becoming a Microbiologist typically takes about four or five years as most Microbiologists enter the field after earning a Bachelor's Degree. If you choose to earn a Master's Degree, it may take an additional two years to become a Microbiologist.
Microbiologists work in hospitals, universities, medical schools, government laboratories, and almost every industry, specializing in a variety of areas, from agriculture to the space industry.

Bacteriology: the study of bacteria.
Immunology: the study of the immune system.
Mycology: the study of fungi, such as yeasts and molds.
Nematology: the study of nematodes (roundworms).
Parasitology: the study of parasites.
Phycology: the study of algae.
